Date/Time: Saturday, July 15th – 11 am - 1 pm
Location: children’s house
Topic/Skill: listening
We watched the movie, Moana,
with the kid’s, and they said that it’s one of their favorite movies. Volunteers
from the Refuge Outreach Program brought a laptop to play the movie because the
children’s parents didn’t have a television, and they also took them some
donuts for breakfast. The movie was great and very entertaining for the kid’s;
they really enjoyed dancing along to the soundtrack, the songs were beautiful. They patiently watched the entire movie, which was surprising to me considering the short attention
span that they have at such a young age; also, I was amazed at how they understood most of the movie with very little need for help.
