Date/Time: Wednesday, August 2nd at 7 pm
Location: children’s house
Topic/Skill: vocabulary, listening
and speaking.
Francine and I worked on her listening skills by watching
different educational music videos for kids on YouTube, such as head, shoulders, knees, and toes and Phonics Song 2. She knew both the songs
by heart and was singing along to them. We
went to the neighborhood’s playground where we worked on vocabulary building by
naming different things at the park, like swing, slide, and monkey bars. Annie
and Dylan were also there working with other kids, all of whom were having fun
while learning English. This was supposed to be my last session but I wanted to
go back the following Wednesday to just say goodbye and bring the children some
candy. Unfortunately, the family had an emergency that day and had to cancel
the session, so I was not able to say my proper goodbyes to them.
