DJ asked me about my experience at CIES. I told him how great studying for my TEFL certificate at CIES has been, and how amazing it has been to meet such wonderful people from all over the world that taught me so much about their cultures. I then had DJ work on a listening exercise that involved watching a couple short videos and taking notes before answering some comprehension questions and writing a short story. This was my last session with DJ and we both wanted to say our goodbyes, but I told him that we definitely have to stay in touch because we’ve become good friends in this short period of time. I plan on staying in touch with him, even if only by email. DJ told me how appreciative he is of me and told me that he knows I’ll make a great teacher. Tutoring DJ has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life.
