Today was mostly reading. We went over a
text about cyberstalking that was part of her classwork. Talk about a
complicated text! I had her read out the paragraphs, and we would go over what
each sentence meant. There were a lot of strange vocabulary words and sentence
structures, so it was a difficult thing to grasp. I ended up getting a headache
from it all, there were so many words and so much to explain! The worst part is
that we didn’t even get halfway through!
However,
it did help her take notes in the margins, which is a useful skill to have. We
worked on her pronunciation of the words also, but only just where it was
typically needed. Talk about a tough reading…. Ugh, technicalities, resources,
details, theories, that’s like the stuff I have to do in my psychology courses…
RIP.
We’re scheduled to meet this Friday at
Starbucks, so hopefully I can have some good material prepared!
