Karinna Co#2
The class I observed this week was Andrew Wilson's level 2 speaking
class. He started off by introducing the word of the day, which was
"Picky". He explained to the class how picky is usually used to describe
a person that has a difficult time finding a food they like. He also
explained how it can be used to describe a person who has a hard time
finding a significant other, because they are picky with who they
choose. Since the students were presenting their projects during this
class period, there was not a lesson being taught. As I sat there
observing, I learned about the students different cultures through there
presented speeches. We learned about how liquor and beer are made in
Korea and the common foods that are paired with each alcohol. We also
learned about Mexico's Independence Day and how they celebrated it
through music, food and colorful clothing. During each presentation Mr.
Wilson sat in the back of classroom taking notes on the students
presentation. Since it was a speaking class, he was mostly looking to
see how well the students were able to articulate their speeches.
