Topic/Skill: Conversation and Interview Skills
Feedback provided to tutee: On this day, Soyoung and I worked with a more direct question and answer format that focused on questions that might come up in interviews (for grad school or jobs). Feedback was mainly focused on phrasing and new vocabulary.
Lesson(s) about tutoring and/or the tutee you learned: Soyoung used English for her past work and will likely have to use it again in whatever field she goes into (possibly airline management). I think that the question-and-answer format focused on successes and failures was a good way to ease into the interview style that (in my experience) is common in American institutions. We also worked on conversational skills again by talking about our friends and daily lives, which I think was a good way to end the session on a lighter, more fun note.
