Ms. Golen had a lesson plan written on the board for students to see. My first impression of her is that she was enthusiastic, friendly, helpful, and involved. The first thing she did was hand out a paper to the students. The first exercise required group participation. She chose students to read the outlines and then the class went over Q&A. The second exercise required students to work with partners. After this the students turned in the papers to her so she could evaluate the students understanding of the context.
In a previous class students read a research article. Today the students would go over that article in groups of two. They would answer comprehension questions which required them to discuss and form answers. The answers that they came up with would be put onto one paper that they would turn it in to her.
