On Saturday July 8th, Alberto, Dylan and I all went to tutor a family of children. When we got there they were all happy to see us and we met the children and their mom and some refugee outreach volunteers. The younger children were seated on the floor learning flash cards and the alphabet, the oldest girl was with one of the volunteers learning kitchen words, and Dylan and I sat with Daniel, the oldest boy, and worked on writing, reading, and pronunciation. I noticed he had trouble with 'c' and 's' and vowels, so next time we might want to focus on those things a little more. He was able to understand us, but could not produce much speech. We talked about soccer and school. We left after an hour.
