Topics discussed: My partner and I discussed family, the difficulties of living by oneself (my partner is used to living with lots of siblings), and hobbies/what we like to do.
Cultural and/or linguistic topics you and your partner learned: We discussed differences between Kuwaiti and American families (specifically how Kuwaiti families are generally larger) and how living in Tallahassee is different from living in Kuwait. Unlike in Tallahassee, in Kuwait most people don't drink, and modifications on cars are illegal. However, the similarities between all families were highlighted when my partner told me that his mother had called him, crying because she missed him, and said that he needed to come visit as soon as possible.
