Annie CP #2

I was studying at the Sweet Shop yesterday, so Brenda came and hung out for an hour and a half as well. We talked about her presentation in Speaking class about Mexico and we talked about our dogs. She told me that her parents are coming next week and they're staying for a month. She also told me about her family and how she is really stressed out because she has school, work and her family keeps asking favors from her. We talked about that for a long while because I was having trouble understanding her. To make sure I understood I would say something back to her clearly and she would nod and say yes that's what she meant. But I'm not sure if she understood what I was saying back to her, so I'm really not sure how much of what I say she understands. I'll work on being clearer and trying to rephrase questions and summaries so that she can understand me better. Next week we're going to Food Truck Thursday at Lake Ella so that will be fun and hopefully we'll be able to communicate better about what's going on.
