I met with my Conversation partner Xuen. When I met up with him at the local red robin he was very eager to know about what type of food I like to eat and what my hobbies are. Upon talking I found out that xuan likes to go by his american name Rick and that he came to the United States just over six months ago from China. I was very impressed with how his English was for only being here for six months. Xuan received his degree in china with a mechanical engineer degree and is now pursuing his masters in sports science where he wants to become a health administer. He told me that the norms in China are very different compared to the U.S such as they do not eat bread with their food but instead rice for starters. Meeting Xuan was a pleasure and I look forward to meeting up and discussing more cultural aspects with him in the future
