I met with Bruna again Wednesday August 2. We talked a lot about the differences between many dialects and how people from some countries are easier to understand than others when they speak English. She said that is a lot easier for her to understand students from Spanish speaking countries than those who speak Arabic. I told her about my experiences learning Spanish and how difficult it can be to understand people when they are speaking the same language.
We also talked about what it was like to drive in the US. Bruna is learning how to drive. In Brazil many people don't drive or have their own vehicles. Apparently is is super expensive to own a car there.
