For this session, we spent around 20 minutes practicing speaking and listening.  Brenda's family is in town and she was telling me about how much of a challenge it was to have them visiting and trying to get through class as well as work.  She is one of the shier students so I try to incorporate speaking into the class to help her think and and communicate in English. Then we spent the remainder of the class learning grammar.  I introduced her to the present tenses: simple, progressive, and perfect.  We then spent the remainder of the class practicing each of these by coming up with sentences for each tense.
