Topic/Skill: Ben Franklin and the Turkey – Listening
DJ and I worked on an online exercise (englishclub.com) about Benjamin Franklin and the national bird. First,
we watched a short video from the American TV series sesame street. Next, we went over some vocabulary words; after that,
we listened to a recording about why some people think that Ben Franklin wanted
the turkey instead of the eagle to be the bird that represents the America. After
finishing the exercise I gave DJ feedback on grammatical points particularly
about confusion about past and present tenses.
