Karinna TS#9 Imani

I have finally been able to teach Imani the full alphabet to the point where he knows all the letters. I have been struggling to get him to understand the sounds each letter makes. Imani seemed very happy and proud to be able to recite the alphabet without any hiccups. He smiled from ear to ear, which made me smile right back at him! Not only was I so happy for Imani that he was able to accomplish something, but I also proud that I was able to help him accomplish something. This was a great tutoring session for him and for me. In order to celebrate even just a little bit I allowed Imani to pick the 5 new words he wanted to learn today. We spent the remaining time learning these 5 words from how they are spelled to what they mean. I had Imani's full attention for the first time and I think it was because he finally realized he can learn!
